Our Clinical staff is licensed and trained to provide Psychotherapy and Substance use Recovery Services. Our clinicians are professional and culturally competent with up to 30 years in Mental Health Experience.

All of our clinicians are creative, flexible, dedicated, community based, humanitarian and caring in their attitude. We are client-centered and individualized with our approach and committed to create the opportunity for change as well as desired growth.

Sahaya Therapy, LLC clinical services are being operated and supervised by Sudha Purihella, LPC, who is responsible for clinical services rendered. In order to provide quality care, clinicians may consult within the practice and with outside psychiatric medical resources without your permission, but identity of the client is always kept confidential.

SahayaSudha Purihella, MA-Psychology; MA-Mental Health Counseling; LPC – (Licensed Professional Counselor). Psychotherapist, Individual and Group Specialist, Specialist South Asian Cultural issues.

Sudha Purihella has two MA degree’s majoring in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. She speaks fluent Telugu-South Indian language and understands Hindi. She has over 30 years of clinical experience in the field. She has worked in Clinical and Management positions in a wide variety of outpatient mental health settings and several levels of residential care from Crisis step-down, Transitional group home, Permanent Group Home and Independent Supervised Living at Woodley House, Inc in Washington, D.C. Due to her continued interest and passion for direct clinical services, she has entered the area of clinical private practice in 2003.

Her approach is Eclectic, Cognitive-Behavioral, Psycho-dynamic, Humanistic, Solution-Focused, Life Coaching, Existential and Reality Therapy. She is very intuitive, caring culturally sensitive and demonstrates a skilled ability to empathize and build a positive alliance with her clients. She works collaboratively with her clients’ inner chaotic nature and empowers growth as well as self-efficacy.

Charity Dzieketey, LICSW

SahayaCharity Dzieketey, MA-Social Work. Licensed Clinical Social Worker in DC and Maryland LCSW-C, LICSW.

Charity Dzieketey has a master’s degree majoring in Children and Families. She has thirteen years of social work experience, working not only with children and families but the elderly as well. As an LICSW provider, Charity has rendered professional services for hospitals, inpatient/outpatient mental healthcare facilities, and government and private agencies. Her extended services include children in foster and adoptive care, training potential foster parents and licensing homes, family preservation, crisis intervention, Adult Protective Services and mental health counseling. She is authentic, with a genuine caring heart for people and appreciates helping others navigate through their life challenges.

Charity employs a diverse methodology in mental health counseling but prefers to focus on CBT. She is person-centered, culturally sensitive and believes in meeting people where they are in their journey of life. She is tenacious and passionate about empowering and helping others, enhance their quality of life and being the best version of themselves. Her clinical mission is to fulfill her purpose in life and be the bridge that connects people to their destination.

Her future goals embrace the utilization of her knowledge, skills, and abilities in social work; foster and operate group homes for orphans; and to oversee multiple charitable organizations that provide aid to those in need.

Juquasia Robinson, MA-Social Work. Licensed Graduate Social Worker in DC.

SahayaJuquasia Robinson has a master’s degree majoring in Social Work. She has been in the field since 2014 interning and working in various setting. She has worked with children, adults, and families. As an LGSW in DC Juquasia has provided mental health services at a substance use agency. Juquasia has also worked with children in foster care in attempts to reunify the children with their families or transitioning the children into adoptive services to locate their forever home, worked with young adults in foster care 18- 21 to provide them with services and skills to assist with the transition into adulthood, worked in InHome Services to implement preventive measures in attempt to alleviate the risk of foster care, and worked with individuals with both suicidal and homicidal ideations.

Juquasia believes in creating a safe space for clients to express all ranges of emotions. Juquasia is complimenting her skill set to Person-centered, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral therapy at present and is open and eager to learn and expand her style in supervision with therapy modalities. Juquasia is relatable, understanding, passionate, and culturally sensitive

Her goals are to experience all facets of clinical social work and advance as a Resident Therapist in private practice to assist clients in their challenging times.

Administrative Staff

Billing and Credentialing Specialist


SahayaAnita Rock is our Benefits Verification and Billing Specialist doing the registration and insurance verification for all clients. She has been working with Sahaya Therapy, LLC for the past 14 years. She communicates with the prospective clients and pre-registered clients about copays and other Mental Health benefits information and sends billing statements as needed

She also assists in scheduling appointments with Sudha Purihella and other clinicians as needed. Anita Rock has prior and current extensive experience working for INOVA hospital system for more than 25 years in the registration and surgery scheduling and insurance verifications. She has prior experience with solo practitioners in private practice in the last 15 years.

Scheduling and Practice Assistant


SahayaJocelyn McKenzie is the Virtual Administrative Practice Assistant & Scheduler at Sahaya Therapy, LLC, where she processes intake applications from start to finish, including establishing acclamation to Sahaya Therapy, LLC and educating clients about their different therapeutic options within the practice.

Jocelyn has volunteered throughout the District of Columbia and Maryland, teaching English within the Hispanic community, sponsoring Prom Parties for under-privileged high school graduates, and a service volunteer for Paralympics, to name a few. At Sahaya Therapy, Jocelyn will help new and existing clients identify a therapist that suits their needs and goals. You can expect 100% transparency, respect and patience when working with Jocelyn.
