Meet our staff

Our Clinical staff is licensed and trained to provide Psychotherapy and Substance use Recovery Services. Our clinicians are professional and culturally competent with up to 30 years in Mental Health Experience.

All of our clinicians are creative, flexible, dedicated, community based, humanitarian and caring in their attitude. We are client-centered and individualized with our approach and committed to create the opportunity for change as well as desired growth.

Sahaya Therapy, clinical services are being operated and supervised by Sudha Purihella, LPC, who is responsible for clinical services rendered. In order to provide quality care, clinicians may consult within the practice and with outside psychiatric medical resources without your permission, but identity of the client is always kept confidential.

CEO/ CLINICAL DIRECTOR/LPC

Sudha Purihella has over 25 years of experience in providing counseling services and two MA degree’s majoring in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. She approaches treatment from a Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Certified in DBT, Individualized Strength-Based, Psychodynamic and Psycho-social approach to treat Trauma, Anxiety and Mood Disorders..

Valerie Silver

LCADC Maryland

Valerie Silver has nearly a decade of experience in providing therapeutic services in Behavioral Health. As a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor for 5 years, she has partnered and specialized with clients experiencing co-occurring disorders and substance use disorders

Administrative Staff

Anita Rock

scheduling and billing specialist

Anita Rock is our Benefits Verification and Billing Specialist doing the registration and insurance verification for all clients. She has been working with Sahaya Therapy, LLC for the past 14 years. She communicates with the prospective clients and pre-registered clients about copays and other Mental Health benefits information and sends billing statements as needed.

Sahaya Therapy’s Practice manager brings a strong foundation in engineering and management of end-to-end telecommunications networks, paired with a deep commitment to systems that serve people well. At Sahaya Therapy, he oversees all administrative, financial, marketing, legal, and technological operations, ensuring that every process supports the practice’s mission of providing quality, client-centered care. U.P. combines strategic insight with practical execution—strengthening compliance, efficiency, and automation while maintaining a focus on service excellence. He has also led the design and rollout of Sahaya Therapy’s HIPAA-compliant digital platforms—including billing, CRM, website, and Telehealth systems—enhancing both accessibility and reliability for clients and clinicians alike.
